Terms
The contract
These terms govern every order placed on hyjewelleryuk.shop. Vowline is a trading name of H & Y JEWELLERY LIMITED, a private limited company registered in England and Wales, at Aspen House, Forth Floor, 25 Dover Street, London, England, W1S 4LX.
1. Prices and currency
Every price on this site is in Pounds sterling (GBP) and includes UK VAT at the prevailing rate. The price you see is the price of the goods; delivery is shown separately and added at checkout.
If your card is issued in another currency, your bank sets the exchange rate and may add its own fee. We have no part in that and receive only the sterling amount.
Metal and stone prices move. Gold, platinum and diamond prices change daily and sometimes sharply. The price that binds is the one displayed on the product page at the moment you place your order. We reserve the right to change prices at any time before an order is placed, and to decline an order where a price has been displayed in obvious error — in which case you are told promptly and anything paid is refunded in full.
2. How an order is formed
Submitting your details and completing payment is an offer to buy. A contract comes into existence when we send you an email confirming dispatch, not when the order is placed.
We may decline an order where the item is no longer available, where a price was wrong, where we cannot deliver to the address given, or where we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraud. If we decline after payment, the payment is refunded in full.
3. What we undertake about the goods
Every ring is supplied:
- with the stone origin declared, in the terms set out in the declarations page
- hallmarked, where the article exceeds the statutory exemption weight for its metal
- with an independent laboratory report where the centre stone is 0.30 ct or more
- at the metal fineness and net weight stated on its product page, within normal manufacturing tolerance
- with nickel release tested to the limits set by UK REACH
Beyond those, and beyond your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, we give no further undertaking. In particular:
- We do not offer any open-ended warranty. Repairs outside the specific undertakings above are quoted and charged.
- We do not undertake that a ring will fit. The sizing guide, the sizer and the resizing policy exist instead.
- We make no claim about what a ring will be worth at any future date, to us or to anyone else. Nothing on this site should be read as advice about value, resale or investment.
- No setting holds a stone permanently. Inspection intervals are published on each product page and a stone lost through wear, impact or a missed inspection is not a manufacturing fault.
4. Delivery, cancellation and returns
Set out in full at delivery and returns, both of which form part of these terms. In short: goods are our risk until they reach you; you have 14 days to cancel a stock-size ring; rings made to a size you specify and opened care products are outside that right; and returns of GBP £1,000 or more must be sent insured.
5. Promotions and the sizer credit
Free delivery. Applies automatically to UK orders of GBP £150 and over, and to EU orders of GBP £500 and over, calculated on the goods total after any other deduction. If a partial cancellation takes the remaining order below the threshold, the delivery charge that would have applied is deducted from the refund.
The sizer credit. Buy a ring sizer, then buy a ring, and the full price of the sizer is deducted from the ring order. One deduction per customer, applied to the first ring order that follows the sizer purchase, with no expiry date and no minimum spend. It is not redeemable for cash and it does not apply to a second sizer.
We do not run countdown offers, manufactured deadlines or pressure promotions of any kind. Where a promotion exists, its conditions are stated in full where it appears.
6. No credit
This shop does not offer credit, instalments, deferred payment or any buy-now-pay-later arrangement, and does not introduce customers to anyone who does. Consumer credit is a regulated activity and we do not undertake it. Payment is in full at the time of the order.
7. Materials and legal restrictions
We do not deal in ivory in any form, in line with the Ivory Act 2018, nor in any material from a species listed under CITES. All precious metal articles above the statutory exemption weight are hallmarked as required by the Hallmarking Act 1973. Nickel, lead and cadmium content complies with UK REACH.
Delivery is available to the United Kingdom and the European Union only. For orders leaving the United Kingdom, import VAT and duty are payable in the destination country by the recipient. It is the recipient’s responsibility to ensure the goods may lawfully be imported.
8. This website
Product photographs are representative. Where two origins of one design share a photograph, that is stated on the page and is deliberate: the two rings are visually indistinguishable and separate photographs would imply a difference that does not exist.

9. Liability
We are liable for losses you suffer as a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights are unaffected by anything written here.
