Delivery

How it gets to you

Everything leaves insured and signed for. Nothing is left on a doorstep, in a porch or with a neighbour, because of what is in the box.

Charges and times

United Kingdom
GBP £6.50, tracked and signed for, two to three working days. Free on orders of GBP £150 and over.
UK next working day
GBP £12.00 on orders placed before 1pm, Monday to Thursday. Not available to the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands, where the standard service applies.
European Union
GBP £18.00, tracked and signed for, five to eight working days depending on the destination and on customs. Free on orders of GBP £500 and over.
Dispatch
Stock rings leave within one working day. Rings made to a size you specify, and the pair sets, take five to seven working days before dispatch. The product page says which applies.

Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England and Wales. Delivery estimates are estimates; the carrier’s tracking is the authority on where a parcel actually is.

Orders of £1,000 and over

These go by an insured, signature-required service. Someone has to be at the address to sign. The carrier may ask to see identification at the door before handing the parcel over.

That check is carried out by the carrier under their own procedures. No copy of any identity document is sent to us and none is held by us at any point.

If the address will be empty, use a work address or arrange a delivery date with us before the parcel goes out. A high-value parcel that fails to be delivered goes back to the depot rather than being left, and a second attempt takes another day or two.

What arrives

Rings are sent in a plain outer parcel with no jeweller’s branding on it. Inside is the ring box, the laboratory report where the ring has one, and the paperwork for the order.

Keep the box and the report. A return has to include both, and the report is what allows the stone to be identified later.

European Union orders

Prices on this site include UK VAT. On orders leaving the United Kingdom, the UK VAT element is not charged, and import VAT and any duty become payable in the destination country instead. Those charges are set by that country and are the recipient’s responsibility. The carrier normally collects them before delivery.

We cannot tell you in advance what a given country will charge, and we cannot mark a parcel as a gift or declare a value other than what was paid.

If something goes wrong

A parcel that has not arrived within five working days of its estimate, or that arrives damaged or opened, should be reported to us straight away. Do not sign for a parcel that is visibly damaged if you can avoid it; ask the carrier to record it as damaged instead.

Contact us at support@hyjewelleryuk.shop or +44 7106704698. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the goods remain our responsibility until they come into your physical possession, so a parcel lost in transit is our problem to solve, not yours.
